general LeeJust the good ol’ boys
Never meaning no harm
Beats all you never saw, been in trouble with the law
Since the day they was born

Theme song lyrics like this deserve the right car. Enter the General Lee. The 01. The orange 1969 Dodge Charger wins the high jump in famous TV/Movie cars for me. Although, the rebel flag on the roof clashes with the car’s orange paint scheme in more ways than one, the 01 racing number on the doors will never be matched as the Dukes of Hazard flattened the hills of Hazard county. They should retire the number like the do in major league sports. This car helped cousins, Bo and Luke Duke, escape the brilliant comedy of Sherriff Rosco P. Coltrane.  This link gives you a little of Rosco’s flavor. And then there’s the car horn.

Girls weekendYou know what’s incredibly hard? Typing a blog post while your nine month old tries to “help”. Which means he and TSM were left to fend for themselves for four days and three nights. When people would find out about this they asked RT if he was nervous about “Daddy Day-Care” to which he responded with one of his favorite quips – “When it’s your kid, they just call that parenting”.

Lazy JoeyOh, NBC’s coveted Thursday 8:30pm time slot. Could Friends be considered the King of that time? Hmm, Seinfeld? Either way, Friends was Must See TV. Why? Camaraderie. It is hard to find camaraderie in large group of people and even harder to pronounce. Friends worked because of their camaraderie. I can’t stop trying to pronounce camaraderie. The Rembrandts “I’ll Be There For You” is now synonymous with the show, and gets stuck in your head like the word camaraderie. Ding di da ding, ding ding da ding ding. Did I get that right?

Minnesota Nice

Minnesota heartDo you hear that? That’s just the sound of Minnesota being AWESOME!

Only six months after the state’s residents voted to defeat a constitutional amendment that would have made same-sex marriage illegal, the Minnesota House of Representatives and Minnesota Senate voted to make that same union legal in Minnesota.
